Dragon Ball Battle Hour Reveals New Daima Synopsis Ahead of Special Panel
The long-awaited Dragon Ball Daima has received a new synopsis ahead of the upcoming Dragon Ball Battle Hour 2024 event, which will feature a special behind-the-scenes panel of the upcoming anime series.
The schedule for the upcoming Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2024 has revealed a new synopsis for the upcoming Dragon Ball Daima anime, which reads: “DRAGON BALL DAIMA is a new anime in which Akira Toriyama was directly involved in the production of his brand new anime. . story, including plot and character design. It also comes out to mark the 40th anniversary of the original DRAGON BALL series and takes fan expectations to a whole new level.”
Dragon Ball’s Akio Iyoku Will Appear at the Upcoming Daima Panel
The timeline also reveals that Dragon Ball executive producer Akio Iyoku will appear on a special Dragon Ball Daima panel. Fans can expect behind-the-scenes information on the anime’s production and other special information, as well as new artwork from franchise creator Akira Toriyama. Iyoku, long considered Toriyama’s right-hand man, waved his departure from Shueisha to form Capsule Corporation Tokyo and reportedly take over anime and game development rights. According to the report, Iyoku was unhappy with Toei Animation’s handling of the numerous Dragon Ball anime, matching the resurgence of reports that Shueisha was unhappy with Toei’s adaptation of One Piece.
Dragon Ball Daima is part of Iyoku and everyone involved in Dragon Ball’s plans to challenge the status quo. Iyoku recently spoke about taking the franchise to new heights, stating, “Dragon Ball pioneered many things as a Japanese anime. I have a sense of mission that if there’s something that no one else has done, I have to continue it.” While it certainly won’t be the first, Dragon Ball Daima will be one of the biggest anime to make a global debut in multiple languages upon release.
At a time when anime has never been more in demand, Toriyama’s direct involvement in Dragon Ball Daimo is no doubt a cause of great excitement for fans. Fellow Shonen Jump giants Bleach and One Piece have seen their creators closely monitor their recent successes. One Piece’s Eiichiro Oda oversaw the Netflix live-action production, and it was just revealed that Bleach’s Tite Kubo helped with the script for the upcoming TYBW Season 3. Toriyama’s return to a new series of Dragon Ball films, starting with Battle of Gods and ending with the latest Dragon Ball Super: Broly, coinciding with the franchise’s most successful installments at the box office.
